Kempower Mega Satellite: MCS and High-Power CCS Charging for Electric Trucks

The Kempower Mega Satellite is a megawatt-class DC charging dispenser built for electric trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles. In its MCS version the dispenser reaches 1.2 MW at 1,500 A (continuous at +40 °C) within a 150–1,000 VDC range, with a cable reach of up to 2.7 metres. The high-power CCS version tops out at 560 kW and 700 A continuous, with a cable reach of up to 5 metres. A dual CCS2 version with two 700 A cables charges two trucks at the same time.

The dispenser comes with a touch screen for drivers and a cable management system. As part of the Kempower Megawatt Charging System, it brings megawatt-level charging to truck depots, logistics sites and charging hubs. Request a quote for your heavy-duty charging project.

Kempower Mega Satellite Flex: Combined MCS and CCS Truck Charging for Mixed Fleets

The Kempower Mega Satellite Flex puts MCS and CCS connectors on one dispenser, so a single charge point can serve today’s CCS trucks as well as the next generation of MCS vehicles. It supports up to 1,500 A on MCS and 700 A on CCS, with a 2.7 m MCS cable and a 5 m CCS cable. A payment terminal is optional, and a DC energy meter is available for CE/IEC markets. This keeps site utilisation high while the market moves from CCS to megawatt charging.

The Flex integrates into Kempower distributed charging systems, whether you extend an existing site or build a new one. Available power is shared dynamically across all connected outputs, so each vehicle gets what it needs. Existing systems built on the latest Kempower generation can move to MCS by pairing two 600 kW Power Units. The modular construction supports high availability for logistics and commercial fleets. Kempower Mega Satellite Flex for Charging Hubs: One Site for Trucks, Vans and 800 V Cars

Public charging hubs serve more than trucks. The Kempower Mega Satellite Flex lets charge point operators (CPOs) run one site for commercial and passenger vehicles. Its CCS output, up to 560 kW, suits the 800 V electric cars and vans built for rapid high-power charging. Its MCS output, up to 1.2 MW, serves electric trucks. CCS still dominates passenger EV charging while MCS is being built out for heavy-duty vehicles, so one dispenser with both connectors keeps every charge point useful from day one.

Higher utilisation supports a faster return on investment and a lower total cost of ownership, which makes the Flex a strong business case for hub operators. Charging can be monitored and managed through Kempower’s ChargEye charge management software, which is available for CPOs, retail and fleet depots.
